About Mrs. Borwege

Being a part of NPAS is truly an honor and privilege.  I am a native of New Prague, graduating from the New Prague High School in 2000.  I graduated from MSU, Mankato in 2004.  This is my 14th year teaching, but my eleventh year in New Prague, teaching 3rd grade for 5 years.  This will be my 7th year teaching 4th grade.  I received my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from (formerly) The College of St. Catherine in St. Paul in 2009.

My husband, Nate, and I will celebrate our 13 year Anniversary this Fall. Nate recently took a new job with the City of Edina as a Building Inspector after being a CAD Designer/Project Manager for 18 years in New Prague. We have three children, Kaelyn, Cade and Kylee.  Our daughter, Kaelyn, will be 12 in December and beginning 6th grade this Fall.  This past summer she participated in Neptune Swim and Dive Club and fell in love! Her greatest passion is hockey playing on the 12UB team this year!  Our son, Cade, is nine years old and will be in 4th grade at FR with Mrs. Laine!  Cade enjoys spending his time playing hockey, baseball, golf, football...pretty much any sport.
Kylee turned four this past May and is our little spitfire of the family. She adores her older sister and brother especially when she is able to play floor hockey with them, hoping to be a goalie.  She will begin dance this fall and has not taken her new leotard and tights off since we got them.  Oy.  So I'm a Hockey Mom and Dance Mom.  All three of our kiddos have been shooting their bows throughout the summer, getting ready for fall deer hunting.

We enjoy spending time with our families and have found that to be the center of our lives.  Other activities that I enjoy are reading, camping, gardening, cooking, fishing, going Up North, watching Gopher and Wild hockey and my MN Twins, and staying active.

Moms and Dads, thank you for trusting me with your most precious gift in life
.  I know it is a challenge to place that trust in someone you barely know, but I assure you that your 4th grader will be entering a classroom where they feel a sense of belonging and pride in all they do, growing academically, socially, and emotionally.

4th graders, I look forward to getting to know each of you as we progress through the school year.  Enjoy your last few weeks of summer...make them amazing!
