About The Teacher

Mrs. Spindler is the 5th grade band director for Eagle View, Falcon Ridge, 
and Raven Stream Elementary Schools in New Prague & Elko-New Market, 
Minnesota. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire with a 
Bachelor of Instrumental Music Education, with a percussion emphasis. This 
is my 20th year teaching band, and my 13th year serving the New Prague Area 
Schools. I have been a band director to all age levels, but have found my 
true passion to be teaching the beginning instrumentalist. I love Hot Cross 
Buns and Jingle Bells!  I live in Shakopee with my husband, Brent, and my 
children, Joey and Genevieve. I also teach private music lessons out of my 
home studio.

Mission For The Class

* To give the student an opportunity to enjoy music though active 
participation. 

* To work with peers and cooperate in a group effort. 

* To develop the personal character traits of discipline and 
responsibility. 

* To acquire the basic musical concepts and skills leading to increased
understanding and enjoyment of music. 

* To give each student the opportunity to perform and enjoy music from 
diverse cultures and historical periods.
